Little Bud Secondary School LBSS Successfully Hosts Sports Meet-3rd Series with Grand Celebrations

Attarkhel, Jorpati,Kathmandu – Little Bud Secondary School, located in Attarkhel, Jorpati, successfully organized its much-anticipated Sports Meet-3rd Series program with great enthusiasm and participation. 

The event, held under the guidance of the School Management Committee (SMC), was graced by Mr. Upendra Man Singh, former captain of the National Football Team of Nepal, as the Chief Guest. The program was chaired by Mr. Padmadhwoj Karki, Chairperson of the School Management Committee.

The event kicked off with a vibrant student-led parade and a captivating musical sports dance, which became the highlight of the day. The inauguration ceremony saw the joint efforts of Chief Guest Upendra Man Singh, Chairperson Padmadhwoj Karki, School Director Narad Khadka, Principal A. Kumar, and Vice Principal Sharmila Maharjan, who released a bunch of colorful balloons alongside the banner of the Sports Meet, symbolizing the official commencement of the event.

In his address, Chief Guest Upendra Man Singh lauded the school’s continuous efforts in promoting the holistic development of students through adequate sports facilities. Drawing parallels to the Nepal Police School, he emphasized the importance of extracurricular and co-curricular activities (ECA/CCA) in shaping well-rounded individuals. He expressed his gratitude to the School Management Committee for their dedication to nurturing future talents and contributing to the development of sports in Nepal.

Sharmila Maharjan, the School Vice Principal, shared that the Sports Meet is a four-day event, running from 25th Magh to 28th Magh. The competition features active participation from the school’s four houses, competing in various sports such as running, football, and basketball. The events are organized separately for Pre-School  and Higher Secondary levels, ensuring inclusivity and fair competition.

The program commenced with a welcome speech by School Director Narad Khadka, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Principal A. Kumar. Vice Principal Sharmila Maharjan skillfully hosted the event as the Master of Ceremonies (MC), ensuring the smooth flow of the program.

The Sports Meet not only showcased the students' athletic talents but also highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering a balanced environment for academic and physical growth. The event concluded on a high note, leaving participants and attendees eagerly awaiting the next edition
